Girls Against is a UK based organisation with the aim of tackling the issue of sexual assault and harassment at live music events. Set up in 2015, the campaign is run by a group of young intersectional feminists, who all feel passionately about making music events a safe space. Girls Against hopes to create a discussion within the industry about sexual assault, as well as talking about other social and political issues that surround this. In the last year, Girls Against has focused on the importance of specific staff and security training for sexual assault; ensuring that there are effective measures put in place to increase the safety and positive experience for all audience members.

Girls Against have ensured that a relaxed ‘safe space’ will be accessible within the venue for those who feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed throughout the night and wish to seek advice or support. The event wishes to promote an enjoyable and safe event for all who attend, with a zero-tolerance for harassment & assault, aiming to promote the values of consent and respect. Girls Against will have a table set up with a range of fun interactive activities, merchandise and information for audience members to find out more about the campaign throughout the evening and enjoy an exciting, fun and safe night!
